This Week’s Major Developments
The BeL2-NBW team took Bitcoin-backed BTCD from testnet to mainnet on Elastos Smart Chain, locking in the first public mint and getting it ready for public testing phase. They also tightened mainchain integrity by preparing a release that drops illegal-fee penalties to zero and solved several node sync hiccups.
On a parallel track, Elacity Labs lit up its Web2-style front end, hiding smart contracts behind familiar log-in flows and smart accounts. With faster navigation and a new market analytics page, the platform now feels as quick as any music or video site you already use.
The PGP chain upgraded from ECO chain pushed a fresh BPoS consensus design that keeps blocks flowing even when miner numbers dip, then wrapped the change in easy deployment scripts. Across the board our front-end teams added language toggles, cleaner balances, and better warnings.

Production Roll-out
BTCD Mainnet Launch: All core contracts, subgraphs, back-end services, and the web app are now live on ESC mainnet. Twelve arbitrators are registered and every step—from mint to repay to unlock—has been tested in production. Community testing period is next.
Issuer Service Stability: Fixed a rare signer failure after three confirmation blocks and walked through the full BTC unlock flow to confirm smooth closure.
Mainchain Security
Penalty Update Ready: Verified that setting illegal-fee penalties to zero prevents accidental slashes. A release package is prepared for the next upgrade window.
Node Health: Re-synced nodes 034, 035, 037, EID, and ESC, clearing stalled heights and restoring full peer connectivity.
PGP Chain Progress
ECO chain to PGP Chain: ECO chain has been renamed to PGP chain, a friend chain that will use Elastos technologies and ELA utility.
Dynamic BPoS Blocks: Added logic that keeps block production running with fewer miners. If the network stalls for one minute, CRC nodes take over until conditions recover.
Fee Sharing Draft: Compiled a clear rule set for how gas fees move between miners, council, and the ecosystem, ready for review.
Tooling and Ops
One-Line Deploy Scripts: Built start, stop, update, and status commands for PGP chain and Oracle services, slashing setup time for new nodes.
Cloud Cost Cut: Moved ECO API nodes from AWS to Vultr, closed unneeded ports across providers, and updated security groups.
BTCD Front-End Notes
The BTCD interface now includes a simple English-Chinese toggle, sets loan terms to seven days on ESC and ninety on PGP, shows locked BTC balances in real time, and no longer crashes on first load or when a wallet is missing..
Elacity Labs WCI
Smart-Account Foundation
UniversalX Deploy: First contract set pushed to Particle’s UniversalX network, letting users pay from anywhere with USDC.
Modular Tx Flow: Refactored calls into a TxExecutable pattern, opening the door to batch sends. Session keys now create channels and process purchases end to end.
Back-End Build-Out
CI/CD pipelines are live, sending each merge straight to staging.
The Web2 API already serves smart-account calls and verifies every receipt.
UI and UX Overhaul (in progress)
Market Activity Dashboard: A new analytics page tracks volume, listings, and royalty totals.
Mobile Navigation: Menus collapse cleanly on small screens, spacing and taps tested on Safari and Chrome.
Brand Polish: Added official light/dark logos and unified the pricing widget.
Tooltips, modals, and error text now read like plain English.
Decentralization Checkpoint
The Lit-powered licence flow reached its first working stage, but the team decided to pause further work until the new front end is fully shipped. A Universal Accounts Guide documents the path for future add-ons without rewrites.
