Behind the Code: Weekly Elastos Technical Update

Your clear window into the decentralized systems powering Elastos. This week was pivotal: BTCD enters its final sprint to mainnet with dual-token gas now live. Elacity’s decentralized rights stack integrated real-time CEK decryption on testnet. And in China, Elastos’ founder Rong Chen and Elacity’s founder Sasha Mitchell met with key industrial, protocol, and DePIN partners to coordinate the physical and logical layers of the World Computer. Let’s break it down!

BeL2-NBW Development | BTCD Ready to Launch

The BeL2-NBW team has resolved its final engineering bottlenecks. With ERC-4337 dual-token gas abstraction, community whitelist governance, and frontend polish all complete, BTCD is now production-ready.

Key Highlights

  • ERC-4337 Fully Integrated on ECO (PG) Chain
EntryPoint v6.0 and PGAPaymaster deployed. Users can pay gas in PGA tokens, while nodes settle in ELA under the hood.
  • Bundler & SDK Up
Bundler deployed with ECO compatibility. TypeScript SDK and wallet demo flows tested end-to-end.
  • 100 Keepers Registered
BeL2 Arbiter has been renamed to BTCD Keeper. Foundations keepers have been batch-registered with signature services, removal logic validated, and whitelist enforcement hardened.
  • ZK Compatibility Restored
ZK and keepers contracts redeployed to fix version mismatches. Services now stable and monitored.
  • App UX Overhaul
Multi-language UI, BTC wallet prompts, arbitration guides, and order logic improved across BTCD protocol + BTCD Keeper Portal.  With these updates, BTCD’s full mint-to-repay lifecycle is verified and near ready.

Strategic Outreach | China Mission for WCI Alignment

Elacity founder Sash and Elastos founder Rong Chen are currently traveling through Beijing and Shanghai—meeting with core builders, DePIN partners, and industrial players to align the future of the World Computer Initiative.

Meetings & Milestones

  • Roundtable with CATL, Bitdeer, and noteworthy representatives – High-level discussion on WCI vision, energy infrastructure, and the edge economy.
  • ThunderSoft HQ Visit – Sat down with ThunderSoft’s (16,000+ staff)  Co-founder and CTO, alongside Elastos’ DePIN partner. Elastos’ DePin partner showcased WASM innovation inside Puter OS, while Sash demoed the upcoming Elacity World Computer Marketplace—soon embedded inside ElastOS. ThunderSoft expressed strong interest in supporting networking, device integration, and new UX metaphors for capsule-based agent computing.
  • DePIN Collaboration Discussions – Reviewed shared strategy for edge compute, personal node orchestration, and AI Agent deployment across both consumer and industrial use cases.
  • Next-Gen UX: Capsules, Chat, Groups – Introduced new metaphors for Chat and Group as OS-level constructs:
    • Users can create “Groups” like folders, with AI agents and IoT devices as members.
    • Text or voice commands become mission directives for autonomous task forces.
    • WebSpace becomes a living operating environment—not just storage.
    • Data is organized into “capsules” that bundle permissions, actions, agents, and history.
  • These ideas came from Mr. Cui (our new DePIN partner), blending Web3 sovereignty with the coordination primitives of real-world teamwork.
  • Creative Monetization Breakthrough
  • ThunderSoft and others highlighted the value in flipping the creative model: Sell royalties first, then push the product—allowing fans and agents to fund artists and share in future upside, instantly and automatically.

Elacity Labs | WCI Smart Rights Infra (Testnet Phase)

  • Elacity’s decentralized DRM engine is now live in testnet with Lit Protocol CEK integration—enabling real-time decryption of protected content.
  • Lit Protocol Integration (Testnet)
  • Secure Lit Action workflow now functioning in Deno
  • CI/CD pipeline launched for Lit keystore service
  • Base64 encryption used to resolve Uint8Array decoding issues
  • HTTP/2 networking bugs patched
  • Aligning CEK decryption with Elacity player runtime trust boundary
  • This is the backbone of Elacity’s programmable rights system—where content playback is authorized by cryptographic conditions, royalties, and licenses.
  • UI/UX Progress (Merged to ESC)
  • Finalized and merged in testnet:
    • New Media form ([1995])
    • Channel creation flow ([1996])
    • Revenue dashboards ([1988], [2007])
    • Subscriptions & Governance logic ([1992], [1993])
    • ESC + Mobile merge ([2001])

Addressed:

  • Post-merge render bugs
  • ESM/UMD module conflicts
  • Form field propagation logic
  • Backend Expansion
  • Revenue API endpoints launched for marketplace, channels, and explore pages
  • Mapping now includes multi-token support and USD overlays for future reporting

Elastos MCP Server (Released)

  • AI-powered coding assistants can now directly interact with the Elastos ecosystem through the new MCP Server.
  • It includes 141 blockchain ops wrapped in fully typed, tested APIs: 69 ELA mainchain, 38 ESC, 11 DID, 12 Hive, and 11 cross-chain functions.
  • The server runs in stdio mode for IDEs or HTTP mode for production.
  • A mock mode allows for safe prototyping. It supports JSON-RPC, REST, W3C DID, and IPFS.
  • More than 400 test cases ensure stability across the stack.
  • This release gives AI environments the ability to deploy wallets, contracts, storage, and cross-chain flows, turning Elastos into the most AI-accessible blockchain toolkit today.
  • The download is a single command: npx @elacitylabs/elastos-mcp-server@latest

Elastos Validator Portal (Live)

  • The Validator Portal is a unified hub for validator setup, management, and monitoring.
  • Guided registration helps avoid misconfigurations, and existing nodes can be imported for seamless migration.
  • It provides real-time health and state metrics, secure SSH, keys, and session defaults.
  • Maintenance workflows are repeatable and documented, with an AI helper for instant node operation answers.
  • The next update will bring continuous monitoring via a custom Telegram bot.
  • The portal can be run through the managed option or deployed self-hosted at nodes.elastos.net.

Strategic Outlook

The Elastos ecosystem is converging fast—from protocol to product, partner to platform. What’s now real:

  • BTCD fully operational with user-friendly ERC-4337 gas logic
  • 100 Keepers securing governance
  • ZK workflows stable and monitored
  • Elacity playback + CEK retrieval integrated in testnet
  • China trip creating deep protocol + industrial partnerships
  • DAO re-evaluating ESC’s scalability/
  • Capsule UX metaphors preparing a next-gen interface layer
  • The World Computer is forming—open, agent-powered, privacy-preserving, and backed by Bitcoin-grade finality.

Behind every block, capsule, and key is a commitment to build a better web. Join the mission—because the World Computer won’t build itself!
