FilDA on Elastos Smart Chain, Security Incident Notice

FilDA is a third-party lending protocol that deployed on Elastos Smart Chain (ESC). It is not built, operated, or controlled by Elastos. This post is a safety notice for Elastos community members who used FilDA on ESC.

Current situation

On December 26, 2025, FilDA reported a security incident affecting its deployment on Elastos Smart Chain. Initial reports describe an attack involving price manipulation against an oracle path referencing Glide LP pricing, which can cause a protocol to accept distorted collateral valuations.

Reported impact, numbers are preliminary

FilDA’s initial communication referenced outflows of over 140,000 ELA and around 5,800 USDC from the ESC deployment.

Important context:

  • These figures should be treated as preliminary until FilDA publishes a final post-mortem and transaction-by-transaction accounting.

  • Early incident summaries sometimes reflect gross movements, not confirmed net loss, especially when assets are moved across multiple addresses or venues.

Status of FilDA on ESC

FilDA stated that its ESC deployment has been suspended. FilDA also indicated it is evaluating permanent shutdown of the ESC deployment due to security considerations related to supported token mechanics.

This notice is specific to FilDA on ESC.

What Elastos Smart Chain users should do now

If you used FilDA on ESC:

  • Do not deposit additional funds into FilDA on ESC until further notice.

  • Avoid interacting with addresses identified by FilDA or reputable security analysts as linked to the incident.

  • Review and revoke token approvals previously granted to FilDA-related contracts, where appropriate.

  • Monitor FilDA’s official channels for verified instructions, including any steps needed for repayment, redemption, or claims.

Redemption and recovery, pending official instructions

FilDA previously mentioned plans for an asset redemption process for ESC users. Any timelines, eligibility conditions, and user steps should be treated as unconfirmed until FilDA publishes the final procedure and the relevant portal or interfaces are live.

Elastos ecosystem contributors may assist with coordination and sharing safety information when needed, but FilDA remains the primary source for protocol-specific actions and user instructions.

Ongoing updates

We will update this notice if FilDA publishes a final report or if there are verified, user-relevant steps for the ESC users.
