Behind the Code: Weekly Elastos Technical Update

This week marks a major inflection point across the Elastos ecosystem:

  • BTCD a product of PG Protocol is officially live on the newly deployed ECO chain mainnet, a new Elastos DAO approved BTCFi blockchain, entering the commercial phase with dual-token ERC-4337 gas support.
  • Elacity’s decentralized licensing stack is production-ready, with chain-agnostic, real-time CEK decryption and full Universal Account compatibility.
  • Strategic on-site missions in Beijing and Shanghai are aligning top-tier partners around the World Computer vision, from ThunderSoft and Bitdeer discussions to agent-powered capsules and DePIN compute. Let’s break it all down!

Modular Speed: ECO Chain Goes Live

ECO is Elastos’ new Bitcoin-anchored EVM lane, designed for fast, high-frequency execution while preserving ELA’s role as the network’s native settlement asset.

Why ECO?

  • EVM compatible, supporting quick dApp migration
  • Anchored to Bitcoin via Elastos DAO node staking from ELA/BTC merged mining (~50% BTC hashrate)
  • Powered by 12 DAO councilors, bonded with 5,000 ELA each
  • Isolated from ESC/Mainchain to prevent congestion
  • Purpose-built for BTCFi stablecoins, DeFi, and AI agent operations

Gas & UX: PGA-Paid, ELA-Settled

  • ECO integrates ERC-4337 with Paymaster contracts, enabling new community members joining to pay gas in PGA
  • Underlying settlement happens in ELA, preserving alignment with the broader Elastos economy
  • UX improves as users can interact without needing native ELA in advance

NBW Technical Support| BTCD Goes Live

Milestone: BTCD Official Launch on ECO Chain

  • Production deployment of all core BTCD contracts
  • Full security validation and interest allocation logic completed (6% APY + 1% insurance fee)
  • Automated pre-minting and repayment flows verified
  • Monitoring scripts deployed to ensure real-time visibility and uptime

Dual-Token Gas: ERC-4337 Now Fully Functional

  • PGAPaymaster contract deployed: Users now pay gas in PGA, while relayers settle in ELA.
  • Resolved key challenges:
    • PGA/ELA fee reconciliation
    • ECO chain compatibility with EIP-7702
    • Duplicate bundler submission issues
  • SDK with full UserOperation estimation support and docs shipped

UX Overhaul: Keeper Brand, Better Guides

  • “Arbiter” rebranded to Keeper for unified product identity
  • Mobile responsiveness, error handling, and mint UX refined
  • Updated BTC fee guides, FAQs, and visual walkthroughs

Strategic Integration: Pangu + BTCD Mining

  • Reached consensus with Pangu community on ELA mining via PGA
  • Smart contracts for joint ELA+BTCD mining in development
  • Drafted Shenzhou agreement for operational separation and legal boundaries

BTCD’s mainnet launch activates a production-ready Bitcoin-native stablecoin layer from commercial partners with strong DeFi primitives. Combined with mining integration and expanding institutional conversations, the foundation for a global Bitcoin DeFi platform is now live.

*Disclaimer: BTCD is a product of Shenzhou Crypto DMCC, a company organized and existing under the laws of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (License No. DMCC-856275), with its principal place of business at Unit No: 3O-01-4852, DMCC Business Centre, Level No 1, Jewellery & Gemplex 3, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Elacity Labs | WCI Smart Rights Infra Enters Final Stage

Lit Protocol Integration (Testnet Complete)

  • Lit Action CEK retrieval fully implemented and live in testnet
  • Fallback DRM system handles unsupported authorities gracefully
  • All chain + media compatibility validated with runtime detection
  • Player v0.6.0-beta.4 + Keystore v0.1.10 released

The smart web needs smart rights. Elacity is enabling chain-agnostic, cryptographically protected, programmable playback markets—near ready for production deployment.

Account Sidebar + Transactions Refactored

  • Token lists now based on Universal Accounts
  • Send/Receive logic now stable across all assets
  • Reward fetching, floor price logic, and royalty payout flow complete

UI/UX Enhancements

  • Refactors across:
    • Home Explorer
    • Minting flow
    • Governance + Revenue dashboards
    • Modal logic and card views
  • Known issues under QA:
    • Horizontal scrolling
    • Governance/media view overlaps
  • ESC frontend + smart contract deployment in staging ready to go live next week.

WCI China Mission | DePIN, ThunderSoft, Capsules

Strategic Alignment On-Site

Elacity founder Sasha Mitchell and Elastos founder Rong Chen continued their World Computer alignment tour through Beijing and Shanghai, meeting with internal and external partners to expand the hardware, protocol, and rights infrastructure layers.

Highlights from China

  • Roundtable Lunch with reps from CATL, Bitmain, and World Computer supporters
  • Visit to ThunderSoft HQ (16,000+ employees) with their Co-founder & CTO
    • Reviewed WASM & Puter OS integrations
    • Shared Elacity marketplace and playback demos
    • Received feedback on creative royalty pre-funding models

DePIN & App Capsule Vision

  • New UX primitives like “Conversations” and “Groups” introduced as OS-native folder structures:
    • AI agents and IoT devices can be grouped and given objectives
    • Chat = command stream; Group = task force
    • Capsules = packaged rights + actions + personas
  • Voice or keyboard input acts as group orchestration trigge
  • This is UI for decentralized intelligence, a fusion of OS logic, agent interaction, and real-world device control.

This week’s progress marks a critical inflection point for the Elastos World Computer stack: from the ECO chain deployment and ERC-4337 gas abstraction across both PGA and ELA, to Elacity’s decentralized licensing system now operating on testnet with secure fallback logic. The new ECO execution lane is already supporting Bitcoin-backed dApps such as BTCD with speed and modularity. Strategic groundwork laid in China deepens alignment between foundational infrastructure (Elacity, Puter OS, Particle, Lit Protocol, DePIN) and next-gen applications (App Capsules, AI agents, creative economies). With these layers rapidly converging, from compute to capital, from protocols to people, the World Computer is no longer emerging. It’s assembling, activated, and accelerating toward global scale.
