Elastos DAO Term 7 candidates now have a clearer reason to step forward.
For Term 7, elected Council members can receive up to 500 ELA per year from the Elastos DAO for keeping their Council node online, plus server cost support from Elacity Labs.
The DAO support comes from approved Proposal #220. It pays 250 ELA every six months to elected Council members who keep 99% uptime on their Council node.
Elacity Labs will also support server costs for elected Council members, up to $50 USDT per month, based on the actual server bill.
This means Council members can focus more on doing the work: running reliable infrastructure, voting on proposals, and helping guide the next phase of the Elastos World Computer.
What elected Council members can receive
For Term 7, the package includes:
- Up to 500 ELA per year from the Elastos DAO for 99% Council node uptime
- Up to $50 USDT per month in server support from Elacity Labs
- Up to 17% rewards on the 5,000 ELA refundable Council deposit
- Possible PGA rewards from the PGP sidechain
- A vote on Elastos DAO proposals, Treasury use, and the direction of funded ecosystem work
The 5,000 ELA Council deposit is refundable when the term ends, under the normal Council rules.
You do not need to be highly technical
Council members do not need to be developers.
The main expectations are simple: run the Council node, stay active, review proposals, vote responsibly, and support the direction of the Elastos World Computer.
Elacity Labs will provide monitoring tools to help Council members keep their dedicated servers online and maintain 99% uptime.
Why Term 7 matters
Term 7 will help shape the next phase of Elastos.
The next Council will vote during a year where ElastOS, Runtime, the dApp Centre, dDRM, public capsule discovery, main chain infrastructure, and World Computer funding are all moving forward.
